I usually post in 3rd person, but I decided this time I'd post in 1st person. My sister, Lindsay is so good at blogging/journaling and I would rather just post a bunch of photos. I really admire Ashley's amazing story telling ability, not to mention she is extremely talented, you should see her art! So here it goes, I thought I'd tell you what we have been up to lately. Shane is in California this week for work so I'm home alone with Chandler and Sarah. The kids are off track right now, they don't go back to school until next Monday. Last week Tuesday, we drove down to Las Vegas for my industry's largest tradeshow, PPAI. We stayed at the Excalibur for Tuesday and Wednesday nights and then stayed with Shane's sister, Marlo, Thursday night and Friday night. I walked the show Wednesday and Thursday and Shane entertained the kids during the day. He took them to Shark Reef, the moving statues in the Forum Shops and walked them around a few more places. We spent the day with Marlo's family on Thursday night and Friday, it was nice to let the kids play with their cousins. I wish that Chandler and Sarah had more cousins their age that lived closer. Shane didn't take any photos, so no photos to share. We did go to the M&M's Factory on Wednesday night, and I took a couple photos, so I'll have to post those later. Normally, I would have just gone by myself to the show, but since the kids were off track and Shane was going to be out of town this week, we decided to make a mini vacation out of it. It was fun for the kids to stay in the hotel for a couple days, too bad the pool was closed for maintenance.
Work keeps me so busy. Some days I feel like I get up too early, drive for too long, work too hard, wish I had female co-workers to chat with, fill my brain with so much info, come home, do the housework, laundry, groceries, go to bed too late and start all over again. Shane does help and I'm grateful for that, but he's busy with school and work too. So we are tired. I have not been feeling great lately (if lately is about a year), so I went to the doctor thinking that my hypothyroid might need an adjustment in medication. They said "your thyroid is fine, you had mono in your system, but you don't anymore, so if you don't feel better in a month call back". So how long do you have to feel crappy before they listen to you? I've been feeling "fatigued" as they call it for months now. I bet I could sleep for 24 hours and still wake up tired. Well, speaking of tired, I should go to bed now.
