Sarah can ride a TWO WHEEL BIKE

Hooray, Sarah has finally gotten to the point where she trusts herself enough to ride her two wheel bike. She has been singing "I can ride my bike with no training wheels, no training wheels..." to the tune of the Flobot's Handbars. Check out our home videos.

Now, she just needs to get enough confidence to ride to and from school.

Marsh Lake

We were invited to go camping with some friends, the Hansens, the Saddlers and the Nyes at Marsh Lake. It was really fun, such a beautiful place. This deer spent most of her time in our campground.

The Nyes brought up two really cool hammocks that their boys made at Scout camp. Between the hammocks and the canoes, the kids had a blast.

Hansens had two canoes and Saddlers had a scanoe (larger canoe), so Chandler spent a lot of time fishing at the lake. He caught 4 fish and we ate them for dinner on Sunday.
Marsh Lake is such a beautiful, peaceful (except for the chipmunks) place, we look forward to spending more time there in the future.

Chipmunks make a mess!

When we got to Marsh Lake, Nye's had put up their tent on hole full of chipmunks and so the mommy chipmunk started pulling her little ones (which were almost as big as she was) out and carrying them to another camp site to a firepit where she had another hole - we worried about her in the firepit until the next day when she started carrying them over to our tent site and under our car. We weren't too concerned about it until we finally decided to open our hood so Sarah could see where they were hiding. They were up to NO GOOD! They tore up our insulation under the hood and proceeded to create a lovely nest next to the battery. They brought kleenexs and grass and stuffed it all over under the hood. What a mess! I think we finally counted 5 little ones and then the mommy which we relocated back to the fire pit. Then at the suggestion of our camp host, we left the hoods on all of our vehicles open so they wouldn't find a nice cozy spot to nest again. Check out these photos:

Do you see it down there?
