Easter Eggs!

Sarah and Andrew and Hannah made the cutest tie-dyed Easter eggs this year. They had so much fun and made a mess out of their hands.

Skipping School & Skiing

Here's a fun photo of Chandler skiing!

Shane and Chandler went skiing with our friends, Brian and Curtis. Chandler and Curtis took a youth skiing class for two hours in the afternoon, so they were pros by the time they hit the slopes again in the afternoon. They had a lot of fun and came home with sunburnt faces (red clown faces with white eyes!)

Family Birthday Party

On Saturday, Feb 2nd, we celebrated Sarah's birthday with Uncle Chris, Aunt Hilary, and Landon, Uncle Mat, Aunt Ashley, Mason, and Madeleine, and Mum mum and Papa. We had a fun taco bar and then cupcakes and icecream for dessert. Sarah had 7 candles in her cupcake. Sarah got some great presents - lucky her. A cute dress, some drawing papers and a Pet Shop diary from Mom & Dad, a fun set of Little Ponies from Ash, Mat, Mason & Madeleine, a Littliest Little Pet Shop from Chris, Hilary & Mason, darling sheets and a Polly Pocket horse from Mum mum and Papa, and a Little Pet shop Go Fish game from Chandler. She loved everything!

Me, tired and all alone...

I usually post in 3rd person, but I decided this time I'd post in 1st person. My sister, Lindsay is so good at blogging/journaling and I would rather just post a bunch of photos. I really admire Ashley's amazing story telling ability, not to mention she is extremely talented, you should see her art! So here it goes, I thought I'd tell you what we have been up to lately. Shane is in California this week for work so I'm home alone with Chandler and Sarah. The kids are off track right now, they don't go back to school until next Monday. Last week Tuesday, we drove down to Las Vegas for my industry's largest tradeshow, PPAI. We stayed at the Excalibur for Tuesday and Wednesday nights and then stayed with Shane's sister, Marlo, Thursday night and Friday night. I walked the show Wednesday and Thursday and Shane entertained the kids during the day. He took them to Shark Reef, the moving statues in the Forum Shops and walked them around a few more places. We spent the day with Marlo's family on Thursday night and Friday, it was nice to let the kids play with their cousins. I wish that Chandler and Sarah had more cousins their age that lived closer. Shane didn't take any photos, so no photos to share. We did go to the M&M's Factory on Wednesday night, and I took a couple photos, so I'll have to post those later. Normally, I would have just gone by myself to the show, but since the kids were off track and Shane was going to be out of town this week, we decided to make a mini vacation out of it. It was fun for the kids to stay in the hotel for a couple days, too bad the pool was closed for maintenance.
Work keeps me so busy. Some days I feel like I get up too early, drive for too long, work too hard, wish I had female co-workers to chat with, fill my brain with so much info, come home, do the housework, laundry, groceries, go to bed too late and start all over again. Shane does help and I'm grateful for that, but he's busy with school and work too. So we are tired. I have not been feeling great lately (if lately is about a year), so I went to the doctor thinking that my hypothyroid might need an adjustment in medication. They said "your thyroid is fine, you had mono in your system, but you don't anymore, so if you don't feel better in a month call back". So how long do you have to feel crappy before they listen to you? I've been feeling "fatigued" as they call it for months now. I bet I could sleep for 24 hours and still wake up tired. Well, speaking of tired, I should go to bed now.

Christmas 2007

Christmas in our new house was fun, we had a whole room for the tree (since we don't have any living room furniture), so we could spread out and enjoy ourselves.

Chandler got a new bike.

Sarah got a million Littlest Pet Shop animals.

Shane got a weed wacker.

Jen got a new printer. And we all got a wii and Guitar Hero 3, it's a blast to play. Fun Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2007

Arizona - Thanksgiving Weekend 2007

Sarah and Collin can't wait to go to Aunt Bonnie's.

Michelle's friend, Jacob, was a great jungle jim.

After visiting with Shane's side of the family, we went down to Tucson to visit Jen's side of the family. We went to the Children's Museum.

Finally we have grass...

We are so excited, we finally have grass in our yard. Only down side is that we can't really enjoy it this year, since it's getting colder outside. It's not green yet, kind of a yellowish green. It's great not having mud for a front yard and dirt in all of the window sills from the wind. We were also able to have the back patio cemented, which is really nice (why did Ivory Homes think a 5'x5' square was a patio?) Here are some photos of the yard and the kids in front of the patio - couldn't stand on it yet (don't you love my shadow in the photo, you'd think I've never taken a photography class)

Wow, where did September go...

Last month was so busy. The kids went back to school in August, so the homework is in full force. Shane has been really busy in the yard, preparing for a larger concrete patio and for grass. And he's in school too, so that takes up quite a bit of his time. Chandler has soccer games on Saturdays and practice during the week. Sarah participated in the mini-dance clinic for Syracuse High School, earlier in September, and we all went to the football game to watch her dance.
Shane, Chandler and I went to the BYU v. Airforce game week before last and that was a lot of fun - it rained the last quarter, but it wasn't too bad. I forgot my camera, so no photos - bummer!
My sister, Ashley, had her second baby, Madeleine, 2 weeks early on September 26th. She is such a cutie and of course when I went to visit, I forgot my camera.
